UPTET Exam

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted for the state government teacher post. UP state government manages this exam.

The written examination is held at various centers in Uttar Pradesh to find eligible candidates. To be a teacher in UP Govt. or aided Schools, qualifying UPTET is the basic eligibility. Those who qualify this test will have to qualify BTC / VBTC courses to be eligible for teaching posts in Primary Schools of UP.  Candidates who qualify this exam can participate in the teacher interview. 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have minimum 18 years of age. 

For I to V  standard – BTC, D.Ed, NTT, 2 years BTC Urdu, graduate or minimum elementary education degree.

For VI to VIII – Graduate degree with D.Ed with minimum 45% marks or appearing in B.Ed with 50% marks or have a four year special education diploma with minimum 50% marks.

How to apply for UPTET

Candidates who are interested to apply for the given exam, can make it through online mode on www.upbasiceduboard.gov.in.  Candidates can click the related link for the submission of online application form. Then challan is generated and registration fee is to be paid at the designated Bank. Candidates are advised to fill and revise the application carefully before submitting it. You can print the application form and keep it safe for the future.

UPTET Cutoff Marks

Qualifying marks for both primary and upper primary level are same.

These score will remain valid for next three years.

For General Category - Marks percentage is 61% or 90 marks.

For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ Ex-Serviceman - Marks percentage is 56% or 83 marks.
