HOW TO PREPARE FOR OF SSC MULTITASKING EXAM

General Awareness

The General Awareness section of SSC MTS exam will test your knowledge of current events, general awareness of environment around you, your everyday observation skills and basic science.

•    Numerical Aptitude or Quantitative Analysis

This section of SSC multi tasking examination will test your simple math and quantitative ability.

•      Logical Reasoning

The Logical reasoning section of SSC MTS exam will test your knowledge in Reasoning, Coding-Decoding, deciphering a Venn diagram, etc.

•  English Language:

1. A total of 50 questions will be asked in this section
2. The topics in which more time should be given in the preparation are as follows: one-word substitution, idioms and phrases, synonyms and antonyms, fill in the blanks (sentence completion), sentence rearrangement and jumbled-up sentences.
3. Narration and active voice/passive voice are usually neglected by the examiner as they are pretty basic but you should basically go through them if you have completed your preparation for this section early.
4. Quite often vocabulary-based questions as well as idioms and phrases from past SSC papers get repeated. So, go through some previous papers as they contain many questions which are repeated over time to time.
5. The difficulty level of reading comprehension passages is not high. However, some practice is needed to locate the answers to comprehension questions asked from these passages.
6. The SSC can change the number of questions and types of questions asked in the exam at any time. Change in pattern cannot be avoided. So, be open to all possibilities.
7. Quantitative Aptitude (Math)

A total of 25 questions are asked from this section

1. This section will comprise of 4 important topics: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry.
2. The most important topic will be simplification and it should be given more time and patience. You must give it special emphasis and to do well you need to practice all the formulas regularly. .
3. Trigonometry is the topic where students lose most of their marks. So, do study height, distance and trigonometric identities and formulas.
4. If you have a good understanding of percentages and ratio and proportion, then data interpretation would be a lot easier for you.
5. Another topic, algebra, is a very tough nut to crack as simplification. It will also take more time and practice.
6. Profit and loss, simple interest and compound interest, time and distance and time and work happen to be the key topics and are easier ones so do not miss them .

• Reasoning (General Intelligence):

1. A total of 25 questions would be asked from this section.
2. This section of SSC MTS examination, reasoning section is the most scoring and less time consuming section.
3. The main topics to keep an eye on are as follow: analogy and classification, non-verbal reasoning, syllogisms, coding-decoding, blood relations, direction test and series.
4. When it comes to finding the number and series questions, you can expect both number series and a semantic series question in the exam paper.
5. Do not leave any question as all the questions are fairly easy and have a simple answer to them. So, try to think something related to that question and you can score well in that question.

• General Knowledge (GK):

1. There are a total of 50 questions in this section.
2. GK has the most comprehensive syllabus and takes much more time comparatively to other section of this exam.
3. Pay attention to the questions asked in the previous year papers from science, politics, history and geography. Most of the questions get repeated each year.
4. In GK, the weightage of current affairs is not much. So, if there is less time during your preparation, you can always skip them.

ELIGIBILITY OF SSC MULTITASKING PREPARATION EXAM

• Nationality:

The important point a candidate should follow regarding the nationality are given below:

• Citizen of India, or
• Subject of Nepal, or
• Subject of Bhutan, or
• Tibetan refugee who came to India, before the 1st January 1962 to settle permanently in India
•  You must be citizen of India and or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1972 to permanently settle in India

• Educational qualification criteria for SSC multitasking examination:

Candidates who want to apply for SSC multitasking exam must pass at least 10^th standard from a recognized board.

• Age Limit for SSC MTS Vacancy:

Aspirants’ minimum age for SSC Multitasking exam should be 18 years and maximum age is 25 years
