Who has launched 300 million rupee Uridashi Masala Bonds in Japan - IFC
On 1st March 2016, first Uridashi Masala Bond was launched by International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group. The bonds which are worth of 300 million rupees will be used to promote private sector development in the country.
Masala bonds are rupee-denominated instruments sold only to offshore investors whereas Uridashi bonds are sold to Japanese household investors.
Prior to this, in November 2014, the IFC furnished first-ever Masala Bonds in London.
Who has been promoted as international Umpire by FIH - Napoleon Singh
Among the important Sports Current Affairs, On 3rd March 2016, Hockey India national-level umpire Napoleon Singh was promoted as the International Outdoor Umpire by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) after judging his performance in the recently-concluded 12th South Asian Games 2016.
In the year 2013, at the Hockey India Junior Women National Championship, Napoleon started his career as an umpire from Manipur.
Recently in 2015, he was also appointed as umpire in the eighth Junior Men Asia Cup, held at Kuantan, Malaysia.
With this promotion of Napoleon, a total of 10 men and 4 women Indian umpires are now in the category of international-level umpires.
Who has won gold in 50m pistol event at ISSF World Cup - Jitu Rai
Among the important Sports Current Affairs, On 4th March 2016, the 50m pistol gold at the ISSF World Cup was clinched by Indian shooter Jitu Rai.
Former World and Olympic champion Pang Wei of China and Olympic medallist Wang Zhiwei finished at the second and third place respectively.
At present, Jitu Rai is 50m pistol gold medallist at both the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games.
Name the Film Archivist who has passed away - PK Nair
On 4th March 2016, Indian film archivist and film scholar Paramesh Krishnan Nair passed away at the age of 82.
In the year 1964, he founded the National Film Archive of India (NFAI).
In the year 2012, Shivendra Singh Dungarpur made an award-winning documentary on his life a which was named as Celluloid Man. It also won two National Awards at the 60th National Film Awards, including Best Editing and Best Biographical Film.

- He had worked for three decades at the NFAI.
- In the year 1961, he joined the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune as a research assistant.
- He was awarded with the Satyajit Ray Memorial Award in the year 2008.
