Barack Obama becomes first US president to visit - Hiroshima Bomb Site
Among Important International Current Affairs, Barack Obama became the first incumbent US president to visit Hiroshima memorial, site of the world’s first atomic bombing dropped on August 6, 1945.
Here Obama paid tribute to the 140,000 people killed by the world’s first atomic bomb attack and laid wreath at Hiroshima nuclear memorial.
Obama also wrote in the guest book, “We have known the agony of war. Let us now find the courage, together, to spread peace, and pursue a world without nuclear weapons.”
Although, President Obama did not officially apologize for the attack, which is viewed by many in the US as having hastened the end of World War II and others have called it a war crime that targeted civilians.
Know About Hiroshima Bomb Site –
• During the final stage of World War II, in August 1945 The United States, with the consent of the United Kingdom as laid down in the Quebec Agreement, dropped nuclear weapons on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
• The two bombings have killed at least 129,000 people; remain the only use of nuclear weapons for warfare in history
Which Ministry frames Policy guidelines for Online Central Government Advertisements - Union I&B Ministry
Among Important National Current Affairs, on 26 May 2016, The Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) framed guidelines and criteria for Empanelment of suitable agencies and Rate fixation for Central Government advertisements on websites.
The main aim of the guidelines is to devise principles and instruments to streamline the release of Government advertisements on websites.
Cancer-causing chemical, potassium bromated/iodate, found in bread samples from Delhi – CSE
Among Important National Current Affairs, on 24 May 2016 according to new study which is conducted by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) claimed the presence of possible cancer-causing chemical in bread sold in Delhi.
CSE in its recommendation also asked Indian regulator FSSAI to act immediately and ban the two chemicals.
It says that - Indian bread manufacturer’ use two chemicals, banned in many countries but not in India, being used by bread industry are potassium bromate (KbrO3) and potassium iodate (KIO3)
Who has been awarded with 2016 Harvard Alumni award - Sunil Mittal
Among Important National Current Affairs, Sunil Bharti Mittal, who is Bharti Enterprises founder and Chairman was bestowed with 2016 Harvard Business School Alumni Achievement Award.
Sunil Mittal is an Indian telecom tycoon, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is also the founder, chairman and Group CEO of Bharti Enterprises, which has interests in telecom, financial services, retail and agri business.

Union Railways Ministry launches - Rail Humsafar Saptaah
On 26th May 2016, Rail Humsafar Saptaah has been launched by The Union Ministry of Railways has launched a week-long initiative to highlight significant achievements made by Indian Railways in all spheres. The Rail Humsafar Saptaah, which is started from 26th May 2016, will conclude on 1st June 2016.
Rail Humsafar Saptaah aims to focus on a particular theme and each day have been named as -

27th May - Satkar Diwas
28th May - Sewa Diwas
29th May - Satarkata Diwas

Which country sign two agreements with Sudan to build nuclear reactor – China
Among International Current Affairs, China has signed two agreements with Sudan, its close ally in Africa to build 600-megawatt (MW) atomic reactor.
It is known to be the first of its kind project to be built by China in African country.
By state-owned China National Nuclear Corp (CNNC) with Sudan, the two framework agreements in this regard have been signed.
However, these agreements include nuclear power development and building a 600 MW atomic reactor.
