Name of the Indian peacekeepers to be given UN Dag Hammarsjold Medal posthumously - Lance Naik Nand Ram and Raju Joseph

 Two Indian peacekeepers have been chosed posthumously for the prestigious United Nation's Dag Hammarskjold Medal. Name of these two Indian Peace keepers are Lance Naik Nand Ram and Raju Joseph. Their names were selected among 126 police, military and civilian personnel who will be given this medal for their courage and sacrifice while serving operations of UN peace keeping and lost their lives during it.

Lance Naik Nand Ram had served with the UN Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) and Raju Joseph had served in a civilian capacity with the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). 

Name of the Indian-American who created record by doing graduation in 11 years - Tanishq Abraham

11 year old Indian-American Tanishq Abraham has created history by graduating from California College with three associate degrees in science, maths and foreign language studies. 

Tanishq Abraham who is a native of Sacramento, California is youngest ever student to graduate from the American River College (ARC), in Sacramento, California.

He had also created a record in 2014 by becoming one of the youngest ever in the US to graduate high school.

Name of the India-Singapore bilateral naval exercise which commenced in Singapore - SIMBEX-15

On 23rd May, Joint Naval excercise between India and Singapore was commenced in Singapore. This excercise was named SIMBEX-15. This excercise will be concluding on 26th May and will emphasis on anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and more complex maritime exercises. In this joint excercise Indian Navy is represented by :

• An indigenously built guided missile stealth frigate with integral helicopter - INS Satpura
• An indigenous anti-submarine warfare (ASW) corvette - INS Kamorta
• Long Range Maritime Reconnaissance Anti- Submarine (LRMRASW) aircraft - P 8I Aircraft

Which Indian film won the critics prize at 68th Cannes film festival - Masaan

 On 24th May 2015, It was a great time to celebrate for Indian Cinema when Indian filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan's Masaan won the prestigious critics prize in the Un Certain Regard category at  68th Cannes Film Festival.

Showcased in the Un Certain Regard section at the movie gala, Masaan received a five-minute standing ovation post its screening. 

Masaan’s narrative is set in Varanasi and its characters connected with the Ganga. Ghaywan worked as assistant director to Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur, which received acclaim at Cannes in 2012, finding new markets for younger film-makers.
