Name of the fast patrol vessel which was commissioned in Indian Coast Guard - ICGS Arnvesh

Among Important National Current Affairs, On 21st March 2016, Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV), ICGS Arnvesh was commissioned in Indain Coast Guard.
Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, Vice-Admiral HCS Bisht commissioned this new vessel. This is being constructed by Cochin Shipyard Limited and it was 16th out 20 vessels to be delivered.
It is very useful for Coast Guard as it had advanced navigational and communication sensors. It also has night vision capabilities. It we talk about its length then it is 50m long and has a capacity to achieve speed of 33 knots.

Longitudinal Ageing Study in India was launched by - Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

On 22nd March 2016, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched Longitudinal Ageing Study in India which is a largest survey of its kind as it is going to survey more than 60000 elderly over 25 years plan.
This study will help in investigating various health structures and govt will able to frame more exact policies.

Broadband connectivity to NE States was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi via which country - Bangladesh

On 23rd March 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated broadband connectivity to North Eastern States, it was an important news because this connectivity was done via Bangladesh with an aim to strengthen telecom services.
Also important to mention here that an international gateway for broadband connectivity will be set up at Agartala in Tripura under this project.
This will help many North East states viz. Manipur, Nagaland, etc through Bangladesh.

Which country is hosting 9th International Abilympics - France

On 23rd March 2016, 9th International Abilympics started in France. Abilympics is a global work skills competition which is held every four years with an aim to promote social awareness in the field of skills development and employment.
Abilympics comes from the idea of organizing a competition to promote the skills of persons with disabilities.

When was World Tuberculosis Day 2016 observed - 24th March

On 24th March 2016, World Tuberculosis Day was observed across the globe. Theme of World Tuberculosis Day 2016 was "Unite to End TB".
