    Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang passes away  on - 21st September 2018

    Vietnam's President Tran Dai Quang deceased on September 21st, 2018 in a military hospital in Hanoi afterwards a prolonged serious illness. He was 61 years old. Quang decreased despite greatest efforts to treat him by Vietnamese and foreign professors and doctors. The President entered into a coma following admitted to the National Military Hospital on the afternoon of September 20th.
    Aa per to reports, the Vietnamese leader had been passing through a serious illness since the last few months and had travelled overseas many times for treatment. He was sworn in as the President of the communist nation in 2016, after a stint as public security minister.

    • He was born in northern Ninh Binh domain, Tran Dai Quang joined a police college and started his career in the police.
    • He joined the Communist Party of Vietnam in July 1980, became a formal party member in July 1981 and gradually rose via the ranks at the powerful Public Security Ministry beforehand being selected as a minister in 2011.
    • In 1997 he became a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam and a member of the Central Committee of the party.
    • He worked as the Minister of Public Security from 2011-2016, before being nominated as the president in April 2016.
    • In between, he also worked as the Vice Head of Committee on HIV/AIDS Prevention from 2011-2014.
    • He was designated as the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in January 2016 at the 12th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and his nomination was established in April 2016 by Vietnam’s National Assembly. 

    1st General Assembly of International Solar Alliance to be held on - 2nd October 2018

    The 1st General Assembly of the International Solar Alliance will be initiated on October 2nd, 2018 in Delhi. The Ministerial level Assembly will be organised in Greater Noida the following day.
     
    The International Solar Alliance is a major enterprise of PM Narendra Modi in underwriting to the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement over the rapid and massive deployment of solar energy.  The Founding Conference of the International Solar Alliance was mutually hosted by PM Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron in New Delhi on March 11th, 2018.

    • The ISA on 6th December 2017 became a treaty-based international inter-governmental firm after the ratification by Guinea on 6th November 2017.
    • The ISA was initiated combinedly by Indian PM Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande on the 1st day of the COP-21 summit at Paris in 2015.
