First International Yoga Day was observed on - 21st June 2015
On 21st June 2015, World observed International Yoga Day. It was the first time it was observed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also joined 35,000 people, including leaders, officials, soldiers and students, in a yoga demonstration at the Rajpath to mark this occasion.
Prime Minister also thanked United Nations and 177 nations for co-sponsoring the Indian resolution in the United Nations for adopting June 21 as International Yoga Day.

Who was appointed as SoftBank President - Nikesh Arora
Among the important appointements, Nikesh Arora was appointed as President of Japan's telecommunications giant SoftBank Corp. Nikesh Arora is Indian born and he was also former Google executive. He will be succeeding Masayoshi Son.
Which state govt launched Village Mentoring Project to uplift villagers - Haryana
Among the National Current Affairs, Haryana Government launched Village Mentoring Project (VMP) to improve healthcare and education of the villagers with a special emphasis on girl child. This project will be creating awareness among the villagers about various issues including educating girl child, health, financial matters etc. This project was started from the Panchkula district of haryana in association with Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali. All 22 districts will be launching this project in a phased manner.
Which Historian-writer was selected for Japan's Fukuoka Prize - Ramachandra Guha
Noted Historian and Writer Ramachandra Guha has been selected for Japan's Fukuoka Prize 2015. He was selected for the Academic category. Apart from him Thant Myint-U (Grand Prize category) and Minh Hanh (Arts and Culture category) were also selected for their outstanding contributions to academia, arts and culture across Asia.
They will be honoured with this award in September 2015 at the Fukuoka International Congress Centre. Mr. Ramachandra Guha will be giving a lecture on “Gandhi, India and the World” at this occasion.
World Refugee Day observed on - 20th June
On 20th June World Refugee Day was observed globally. This day is observed annually on 20th June to raise awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world.
United Nations General Assembly on 4th December 2000 adopted 20th June as World Refugee Day.
