Which country announces postponement of 19th SAARC Summit in Islamabad – Pakistan

Among Important International Current Affairs, as India and four other countries announced to boycott the Summit, Pakistan has postponed the 19th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit.

However, this summit was schedule to be held on November 9th and 10th, 2016 in Islamabad, which is a capital city of Pakistan. 

Here, it was also announced that new set of dates for holding the summit at Islamabad will be announced soon by Nepal, the Chair of SAARC.

Tamil Nadu tops list of endemic flowering plants – BSI

Among Important National Current Affairs, as per the recent publication which has been released by the Botanical Survey of India (BSI), Tamil Nadu accounts for the highest number flowering plants in the country. 

However, the publication titled Endemic Vascular Plants of India has also revealed that almost one of every four species of flowering plants found in India are endemic to the country.

Who gets the Infrastructure Status - Sports Sector

Among Important Sports Current Affairs, The Union Finance Ministry has finally decided that sports infrastructure will be included under the harmonised master list of infrastructure sub-sectors. 

Before this, the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Affairs had moved the proposal for inclusion of sports in the list to address the issue of deficit of sports infrastructure in the country.

Which airport was awarded Best Tourist Friendly Airport by Andhra Pradesh Tourism - Tirupati Airport

Under the State Annual Excellence Awards for the year 2015-16 by Andhra Pradesh Tourism, Tirupati Airport was awarded with Best Tourist Friendly Airport.
This was award was given on world's tourism day i.e. 27th Sep 2016 by Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandra Babu Naidu.
Tirupati Airport was established in 1976.

Bihar Prohibition of Liquor Act quashed by - Patna High Court

On 30th September 2016, Patna High Court quashed Bihar Prohibition of Liquor Act as Court ruled that notification is ultra vires to the Constitution.
High Court bench which includes Chief Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari and Justice Navaniti Prasad Singh said in a verdict that this notification is not enforceable.
