Serbian Novak Djokovic won ATP World Tour Finals
Among the important Sports Current Affairs on 17th November 2014, World number one Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic bagged winner trophy of ATP World Tour finals at O2 Arena in London, UK. World's number two Roger Federer withdrew from the title clash due to a back injury so Novak Djokovic was crowned.
By this title Novak Djokovic became the first tennis player to win three World Tour finals consecutively since Ivan Lendl of US who won it from 1985 to 1987.
In Australia, Train named Modi Express was flagged off in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi
On 16th November 2014, A four boggy train named Modi Express was flagged off by an Australian Victorian Multicultural Minister Matthew Guy in Melbourne. This was done to honour Indian PM Narendra Modi and to celebrate his first official visit to Australia.
The train was flagged off at Southern Cross Station in Melbourne and thus became the first train whose service was organised under the name of a Prime Minister.
Service of this train was aimed to carry 220 passengers to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first public lecture in Sydney on 17 November 2014.

Klaus Iohannis won Romanian presidential elections 2014
Among the International Current Affairs, On 16th November 2014, The Mayor of Sibiu Klaus Werner Iohannis won the presidential elections in Romania by defeating Prime Minister Victor Ponta of Social Democratic Party.
Klaus Iohannis belongs to Christian Liberal Alliance of Romania. He got 54.81 percent of votes and Victor Ponta got 45.18 percent.
Klaus Iohannis will be succeeding Traian Basescu who had served as President for two terms.
Indian Cricket team made clean-sweep against Sri Lanka by 5-0
On 16th November India won 5th ODI against Sri Lanka to mark a clean sweep on the visiting cricket team. Final was played at JSCA Stadium Complex in Ranchi, Jharkhand in which Indian team defeated Sri Lankan team by 3 wickets.
Important to mention here that Virat Kohli was declared Man of the Series and he was also the captian.
G20 Summit 2014 concluded with Brisbane Action Plan and China to host G20 Summit in 2016
On 16th November 2014, The G20 Summit 2014 of emerging economies concluded in Brisbane, Australia. Final communique known as the Brisbane Action Plan was released by G20 leaders. This action plan contains more than 800 reforms to boost global growth, boost financial institutions and improve economic resilience. It is projected that if these are implemented then global growth will increase by 2.1 percent.
China will be hosting Group of Twenty (G20) Summit of the emerging economies in 2016 as this was announced by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott in Brisbane.
