Among the important Sports Current Affairs, On 14th February 2016, World No. 19, Austrian tennis player Dominic Thiem won the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Buenos Aires tournament after defeating Spaniard Nicolas Almagro. This was the fourth ATP singles title for Theim.

Among the important National Current Affairs, On 15th February 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on technical cooperation in rail sector was inked between the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation of the Kingdom of Sweden.

The objective of the MoU is to develop cooperation activities in the railway sector to encourage efficiency and sustainability and to get conclusive results with regard to bilateral trade, technology transfer, investment and research.

Oscar Stenstrom, State Secretary on behalf of Swedish Government and Girish Pillai, Adviser / Infrastructure on behalf of Ministry of Railways signed the MoU.

Among the important National Current Affairs, On 15th February 2016, 1st Mega Food Park (MFP) of Jharkhand was inaugurated by Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal at Getalsud village in Ranchi district. 

Features of Jharkhand Mega Food Park

• The park has been set up under the aegis of the Mega Food Park Scheme (MFPS) of the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MFPI) as a public private partnership (PPP).
• M/s Jharkhand Mega Food Park Pvt Ltd. at an estimated cost of 114.73 crore rupees in an area of 51.50 Acres promoted this park.
• The park will have facilities of processing facilities for fruits & vegetables, Dry Warehouse, Vegetable Dehydration Line, modern Quality Control& Testing Laboratory and Multi Chamber Cold Storage.
• It will povide better prices to farmers, add value to agricultural produce, create huge opportunities for entrepreneurship, reduce wastage of perishables and employment for the youth of the State.

Who has won 2016 Grammy Award for Best Music Film - Indo-British Asif Kapadia

Among the important International Current Affairs, On 15th February 2016, the Grammy Award for Best Music Film was won by Indo-British filmmaker Asif Kapadia for his documentary Amy at the 58th annual awards ceremony.

Asif Kapadia directed Amy which is a 2015 British documentary film that shows the life and death of British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse.

Previously, on 14th February 2016, at the 69th British Academy Films Awards (BAFTAs), Amy won the award in Best Documentary category.
