PM Modi launched which campaign on Dr. Ambedkar's birth anniversary - Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan
On 14 April 2016, PM Narendra Modi launched 'Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan' at Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. On the 125th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar this campaign was launched.
The campaign aim is to promote rural development and foster farmers’ welfare and livelihood to poor.
The campaign is all set to run jointly by the Ministries of Rural Development, Agriculture, Social Justice, Labour and Information and Broadcasting along with the States.
What PM Narendra Modi said at the launch –
•PM Modi said that Babasaheb Ambedkar fought against injustice in society and his fight was for equality and respect.
•He said that Babasaheb was deeply committed to the development of the downtrodden and marginalised section of the society.
•He said that India's sustainable development is possible only if we develop our villages.
•Modi also said they only nurtured their politics in the name of poor and dalits, and today when NDA government is trying to give the father of constitution his due opposition parties raise questions on it.
Who took over Tapti gas field infrastructure to boost Daman gas Production – ONGC
On 14 April 2016, ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited) took over the infrastructure of abandoned Tapti gas field in western offshore from its joint venture partners Reliance Industries and BG.
This is the first such transfer of assets in India.

•ONGC, which is an Indian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.
•ONGC is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) of the Government of India, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
•ONGC is one of the India's largest oil and gas exploration and Production Company.
Which undersea ballistic missile successfully test fired from INS Arihant - Nuclear-capable K-4
India tested successfully its ambitious missile, which is Nuclear capable undersea ballistic missile, code named K-4. It was tested on 31 March 2016 from an undisclosed location in the Bay of Bengal.
The test fired was conducted nearly 45 nautical miles away from Vishakhapatnam coast in Andhra Pradesh.
Know About Nuclear Capable K-4:
•This K-4 nuclear missile's test was conducted secretively.
•Bbefore a possible entry into service next year, the missile system was tested twice in March from home-built Arihant ballistic missile submarine, a platform that's currently undergoing sea trials.
•This missile is a derivative of the more well known Agni ballistic nuclear missiles already in service.
•This ambitious K-4 missile will arm India's nuclear ballistic missile submarines and make them invisible and undetected until they need to be used.
Which mission is launched by Maharashtra CM Fadnavis – Mission Drinking Water
On 13 April 2016, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched ‘Mission Drinking Water.
This mission was launched in the backdrop of recurring droughts and severe water crisis in Marathwada and Vidarbha region of the state.
Few Highlights of the mission
•Through Mission Drinking Water, the government has adopted a two-pronged strategy to scale up drought mitigation.
•This mission is all set to ensure changes in crop pattern to sustain wholistic development, which includes greater investments in agriculture and industries.
•Every remote village in drought districts had been provided a roadmap and adequate budget.
