BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile was successfully test fired by - India
On 11th March 2017, India successfully test-fired BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile. Purpose of this test was to validate the capabilities of the missile.
Do You Know :
- This missile is capable of carrying conventional as well as nuclear warhead of 300 kilograms and is first first supersonic cruise missile system.
- This missile is a multi stage missile as it uses solid propellant in the first stage and the ramjet liquid propellant in the second stage and can be launced from Land, Air or Sea.
- It has top speed of Mach 2.8.
- This missile has been developed with joint venture of India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia's NPO Mashinostroeyenia.
NSDC & NSDF inked MoU with Sashastra Seema Bal for - Skill development
National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the National Skill Development Fund (NSDF) inked a MoU with The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for skill development programmes.
This MoU was inked in the presence of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
As per this MoU retiring and retired personnel of SSB will be provided training of gainful employment so it can help the personnel in resettlement through the generation of second career option.
