Civil Services Examination 2016

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be holding the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2016 on 7th August 2016 for recruitment of various posts of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and certain other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services / Posts. Following are the details :

Age Limit : 21 years to 32 years as on 1st August 2016. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

Educational Qualification : Graduation

Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Number of attempts :
(i) General Category - 6 attempts, (ii) OBC - 9 attempts (iii) SC/ST - No limit

Fee :  Rs.100/-  (Female/SC/ST/PH candidates exempted)
