Testing of animals by cosmetic companies is banned by Government

Testing of animals by cosmetic companies is banned by Government. Conceding to concerns raised by animal welfare organizations, the government has banned the use of animals in testing of cosmetics manufactured in the country. 

Health ministry issued a notification recently prohibiting testing of cosmetics on animals. 

The ban implies that no cosmetic which has been tested on animals in the country will be allowed to be sold.
