Telangana set to become 29th state with Parliament approving bill

Telangana set to become 29th state with Parliament approving bill. Bill got cleared in Rajya Sabha after it was passed in lok sabha. Telangana Bill passed in Rajya Sabha amid uproar. 

Important to note : 

• The bill will now be sent to President Pranab Mukherjee for his approval. Telangana will then be notified as India's 29th state.
• Prime Minister Manmohan Singh announced a special package for Seemandhra, a region that is the residuary state.
