Microsoft gets new Chairman, John Thompson
Updated : 06-Feb-2014John Thompson was appointed as the Chairman of Microsoft on 5 February 2014 by the Board of Directors at a meeting held in Washington, US. He succeeded Bill Gates who assumed the role of Technology Advisor to the CEO of Microsoft.
John Thompson had joined the Board of Microsoft in 2012.
He was also the former chairman and CEO of Symantec Corp.
