India and Japan signed the memorandum in tourism

India and Japan signed the MoU for strengthening cooperation in tourism on 22 January 2014. It would facilitate travel and tourist visits and strengthen the tourism partnership between the two countries. 

Important points of memorandum are :

• To expand bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector
• To exchange information and data related to tourism
• To encourage cooperation between Tour Operators and tourism stakeholders including Hotel owners
• To establish exchange programmes for cooperation in Human Resource Development
• To exchange visits of Tour Operators/Media/ Opinion Makers for promotion of two way tourism
• To exchange experience in the areas of promotion, marketing, destination development and management
