Gorakhpur railway station entered Limca Book of Records as world's longest platform

Gorakhpur railway station platform number one of Uttar Pradesh has entered into the Limca Book of Records as longest rail platform in the world with the length of 1355.40 meters

Note: Before this the record was with platform of Kharagpur railway station of West Bengal with length of 1072.5 meters.
