On 8th February 2015, Sukanya Samridhi Yojna had been started by Union Government in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
About Sukanya Samridhi Yojna
- The Programme is launched to enhance the strength and honour of the girl children around the country.
- This scheme comprises of all the girls of every economic status under 10 years of age to open Sukanya Samridhi Account in Post offices and in the Banks by their parents.
- A minimum of Rs.1000 and maximum of Rs.1,50,000 can be deposited annually in the account at an interest rate of 9%.
- At the age of 18 years, the account can be operated by the girl herself.

Name the high-speed patrolling ship introduced in the fleet of Indian Coast Guard - Amogh
On 7th February 2015, a high-speed patrolling ship Amogh is introduced in the fleet of Indian Coast Guard. Amogh can travel at a maximum speed of 63 Kmph and has has facilities like firing gun,GPS system and upgraded radar system, rubber boats including one motor-run. Besides security purposes, it will be utilized by Indian Coast Guard during emergency situations such as accident and natural calamities.

On 7th February 2015, Himalaya Darshan Programme launched by Uttarakhand Government to boost tourism in Uttarakhand. A group of students carried by a chopper was flagged off by Civil Aviation Secretary Akshat Gupta for a sortie around the mountains from the Sahastradhara Helidrome of Dehradun. The objective of the programme is to enable people to fly around the beautiful mountains of Uttarakhand.

- Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has developed and designed LCA Tejas.
