Who has been elected as new President of USA - Donald Trump
Among Important International Current Affairs, On 9th November 2016, Republican Party candidate Donald Trump was elected as 45th President of USA. He got 276 seats to emerge as winner.
He will be succeeding Barack Obama and is scheduled to take office in January 2017.
Important to mention here that Democratic Party candidate Hillary Clinton won 218 seats. Though if we talk about percentage of votes then Donald Trump got 48% percent of votes while Hillary Clinton got 47% votes.
Who has been appointed as Executive Director of RBI - M Rajeshwar Rao
Among Important Banking Current Affairs, On 7th November 2016, M Rajeshwar Rao was appointed as Executive Director of Reserve Bank of India. He succeeded G Mahalingam.
He was serving as Chief General Manager, Financial Markets Operations Department before being appointed as Executive Director. He is working with RBI since 1984.
Book titled An Era of Darkness: The British Empire in India is written by - Shashi Tharoor
Among Important Book Releases, On 5th November 2016, Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari released book titled An Era of Darkness: The British Empire in India. This book has been authored by Shashi Tharoor.
In this book he explains how colonizers exploited India, ranging from the drain of national resources to Britain, the destruction of the Indian textile, steel-making and shipping industries, and the negative transformation of agriculture.

Who has won 2016 RSF-TV5 Monde Press Freedom Prize - Hadi Abdullah
Among Important International Current Affairs, On 8th November 2016, Freelance journalist of Syria Hadi Abdullah won Reporters without Borders (RSF)-TV5 Monde prize.
In a statement, RSF said that Abdullah has unhesitatingly ventured into danger zones, where Western journalists are no longer willing to go, to film and interview civilians.
Important to mention here that, RSF-TV5 Monde prize is among most prestigious awards in the field of press and is awarded by RSF ( Reporters without Borders ).
Who has been appointed as MD and CEO of BoB Capital Markets - Ratnesh Kumar
Among Important Banking Current Affairs, On 7th November 2016, Ratnesh Kumar was appointed as new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Capital Markets of Bank of Baroda (BoB).
Ratnesh Kumar started his career in Indian capital markets and financial services sector in 1993 and holds a Masters degree in Management from FMS, University of Delhi.
Also important to mention here that BOB Capital Markets Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of Baroda.
New series of Rs 500 & Rs 2000 notes with improved features were issued by - RBI
On 8th November 2016, Reserve Bank of India issued new series of notes for 500 rupees and 2000 rupees denomination. These notes have improved features and newer sizes as these will be very friendly towards the visually-impaired people.
On Rs. 2000 note there is a symbol of Mangalayan on the reverse with a base colour Magenta of the note also there will be 2000 written in Devanagari. Also new design of Rs 5000 note will he having new colour and size and location of security features has also been changed.
