Which remote sensing satellite has successfully launched - Resourcesat-2A
Among Important National Current Affairs, ISRO which means The Indian Space Research Organisation has successfully launched remote sensing satellite Resourcesat-2A into its dedicated orbit.
However, it was launched onboard of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C36 from first launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
Also it was PSLV’s 38th flight and XL version of the rocket was used. Please note, it was the 37th consecutive successful flight of the rocket.
Andhra Pradesh Government launches which mobile app to promote digital transactions - AP Purse
Among Important National Current Affairs, Andhra Pradesh Government has launched AP Purse mobile application, mainly to promote digital transactions among the people.
However, it was launched by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada to solve the cash crunch problem in the state following demonitisaton of high value old currency notes.
INS Sumitra visited which country to strengthen bilateral ties - Australia
On 6th December 2016, the Indian Navy’s offshore patrol vessel Sumitra reached Darwin, Australia.
However, the vessel is on a three day visit to the country and will return to India after participating in the Royal New Zealand Navy International Naval Review 2016.

Name the artist who won 2016 Turner Prize - Helen Marten
Among Important International Current Affairs, on 5th December 2016 multimedia artist Helen Marten won the Turner Prize, which is Britain’s top award for contemporary art.
However, the prize comes with a cash award of about USD 31800.
For Marten, the Turner Prize is the second prize in one month. Marten has also won the inaugural Hepworth Prize.

Dr Ambedkar’s birthday to be celebrated as - Water Day
Among Important National Current Affairs, on 14th April Dr BR Ambedkar’s birthday will be observed as “Water Day” across India.
However, the day will be observed to mark Ambedkar’s contribution in water resource management of the country.
Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Uma Bharti has announced the same while addressing a National Seminar on Marching ahead on Dr Ambedkar’s path of water resources management for inclusive growth.
Here, she was the Chief Guest of the seminar that was organised by Central Water Commission in New Delhi.
