Which country ranked 2nd on GRD index on ease of doing business – India
Among Important National Current Affairs, as per 2016 Global Retail Development Index (GRDI) released by London-based business consultancy A T Kearney, India has been ranked second position.
According to a study topped by China, India has jumped 13 positions from last year to rank second among 30 developing countries this year on ease of doing business.

Who has been appointed as Adobe MD for South Asia - Kulmeet Bawa
Among Important International Current Affairs, on 6 June 2016 Adobe declared the appointment of Kulmeet Bawa as their Managing Director (MD) for South Asia.
Kulmeet Bawa is all set to begin his new role on 24 June 2016.
However, Bawa will take over the position from Umang Bedi, who is leaving the company after five years of service.
Paul Robson, who is a President of Adobe Asia Pacific Bawa will report to him only.
Currently, Bawa is working as the Head of Sales for Adobe in India.
Rajasthan Government launched which app on Air Quality Index - Mobile App RajVayu
Among Important National Current Affairs, Rajasthan Government has launched a new app which is a mobile application RajVayu for sharing information about air quality index of Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje launched this app on the occasion of World Environment Day (5th June).
However, after the launch of this new mobile app, Rajasthan becomes first state in country to launch such app for sharing information about air quality index of cities.
Which two countries signed MoU for hassle-free entry of Indians into US - India, US
Finally, India and United States (US) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to facilitate hassle-free entry of Indians into America at selected airports.
This will provide speedy security clearances for pre-approved, low-risk travellers from the country. The MoU was also signed as part of US’s International Expedited Traveller Initiative (also known as the Global Entry Programme).
However, India is only the ninth country with which the US has entered into this initiative reflecting growing relationship between the two largest democracies of the world.
With this, it will also have positive impact on all kinds of people-to-people exchange between our two countries.
Gujarat Government announces IT policy to promote - IT-based start-ups
The Gujarat Government has taken a good step and announced its first ever IT and Electronics Start-up Policy which will be applicable only to IT and electronics related start-ups.
The policy aims with a special focus on encouraging new ventures by providing them various incentives and subsidies.
However, under this policy State Government will develop 50 new incubators to mentor and guide 2,000 start-ups in the next five years.
For development of these incubators, around 10 lakh square feet of land has been allotted which will provide guidance to budding innovators in setting up their start-up units.
ADB and Union Government signed Loan Agreement to upgrade 176 Km of roads in – Jharkhand
Among Important National Current Affairs, on 3 June 2016 ADB which is known as The Asian Development Bank and the Union Government signed the Loan Agreement for 200 million US dollars to upgrade 176 Kilometres of State roads in Jharkhand.
Raj Kumar, who is a Joint Secretary (Multilateral Institutions), Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance and by M. Teresa Kho, Country Director of ADB’s India Resident Mission signed this agreement.
