India, Singapore signed how many agreements – Three
Among Important International Current Affairs, India and Singapore have signed together about three agreements (MoUs) in the fields of skill development and IPR to boost bilateral relations between them.
However, these agreements were signed in New Delhi during Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s official state visit to India.

2016 John F Richards Prize won by - Nayanjot Lahiri
Among Important International Current Affairs, on 4th October 2016 Nayanjot Lahiri, Professor of History at the Ashoka University, has been awarded with the 2016 John F. Richards Prize for her book Ashoka in Ancient India.
However, the prize will be awarded to her at the Association’s 131st Annual Meeting in January, 2017.
Name the former ISRO chief who becomes first Indian to be inducted into IAF Hall of Fame - U R Rao
Among Important National Current Affairs, Former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman Udupi Ramachandra Rao, who is also popularly known as U. R. Rao, was inducted into the 2016 IAF Hall of Fame on 30 September 2016 by the International Aeronautical Federation (IAF).
After this, U R Rao also became the first Indian to be inducted into IAF Hall of Fame.
Indian Bridge Management System launched by - Union Government
Among The Important National Current Affairs, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has launched the Indian Bridge Management System (IBMS).
However, it was launched by Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi as a major step towards ensuring safety of bridges in the country.
Which card will be must for LPG subsidy after November 2016 - Aadhaar Card
Among Important National Current Affairs, after November 2016, the Union Government has made Aadhaar card mandatory for availing cooking gas (LPG) subsidies.
Also in this regard, the Union Petroleum Ministry has asked Oil marketing companies (OMCs) to facilitate enrollments of Aadhaar of the consumers to avail the subsidy.
Presently, the government gives 12 LPG cylinders at subsidised rates per household in a year.
Please Note: The subsidy on every LPG cylinder is transferred directly into bank accounts of each individual who then buy the cooking fuel at market rates.
