Who launched India Innovation Index - NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant
On 2nd February 2017, CEO of NITI Aayog Mr. Amitabh Kant launched the India Innovation Index in New Delhi. It is first of its kind and first online innovation index portal. It was created with an aim to capture data on innovation from all Indian states and regularly update it in real time.
Important Highlights :
- India Innovation Index will rank Indian states as per their innovation and will provide more insights to build their respective innovation ecosystems.
- This is joint initiative of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog).
