5G networks in South Korea on - 5th April 2019
South Korea will release world’s 1st 5G mobile networks on April 5th, 2019. It would be a transformational jump that already has United States and China sparring for control of an innovation that could possibly change the day-to-day lives of billions of individuals.
The superfast communications possessed by 5th Generation wireless technology will ultimately support everything from toasters to telephones; from electric cars to power grids.
Significant Highlights- Hyper-wired South Korea had a reputation for technical competence, and Seoul has made the 5G rollout a precedence as it pursues to stimulate stuttering economic development.
- The system will bring smartphones near-instantaneous connectivity, which is 20 times faster than current 4G service, permitting users to download complete movies in less than a second.
- In the same way that 3G enabled extensive mobile web access and 4G made new applications effective ranging from social media to food apps, 5G will herald a new level of connectivity, vested by speed.

- Japan is also anticipated to roll out a limited deployment in 2019 before complete services begin in time for next year's Tokyo Olympics.
Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology revealed a -New enzyme
Researchers at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology- CCMB, have revealed a new enzyme which assists in bacterial cell wall cracking and hence, offers a potential for a new drug delivery way to arrest the anti-bacterial resistance.
Dr.Manjula Reddy headed the team at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology. They have revealed a new enzyme termed as “scissors enzyme”.
Significant findings- Dr.Manjula Reddy and her team revealed that by blocking “scissors enzyme” from functioning, new
ways to approach microbes could be discovered, leading to a new wave of antibiotic medicine. - Other bacteria, too, have the same enzyme working on cell division due to the fact that the cell
wall is fundamental for bacterial growth and division. - The new enzyme possesses a potential for a new medicine delivery route to capture the anti-
bacterial resistance via current antibiotic medicines. - It opens up fresh ways to target microbes, leading to a new wave of antibiotic medicines.
- The further step is to find out the molecule of the enzyme endo-pepcidine and it has to be trailed by the drug trials to unknot a new combination of medicines to replace current antibiotics though it is difficult to forecast a time frame.
