17th Asian Games concluded
Asian Games 2014 were concluded on 4th October 2014. Like always China showed its dominations in this sports event by being Numero Uno. More than 9500 athletes from 45 countries took part in this grand event hosted by South Korea. After 16 days of Asian games it was time for a closing ceremony at Incheaon.
India finished eighth on the tally by winning 11 Golds, 9 Silver and 37 Bronze (Total 57).
Chia won 151 Gold, 109 Silver and 83 Bronze medals (Total 343).
Several killed and Injured in a stampede in Gandhi Maidan in Bihar
On 3rd October 2014, A tragic stampede occurred in Bihar at Historic Gandhi Maidan during Dussehra celebrations. This leads to more than 30 people killed and several injured.
Bihar Govt ordered a probe to look into the stampede which will be conducted by state Home Secretary Amir Subhani and police ADG Gupteshwar Pandey.

Chennai Super Kings bagged CLT20 title
Among Important Sports Current Affairs on 4th October 2014, Chennai Super Kings won Champions League T20 title. Suresh Raina batted beautifully to make a century(in just 59 balls). CSK won by eight wickets in final match held in Banglore.
CSK defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the final. CSK was given a target of 181 runs which they were able to acheive in 18.3 overs.
