Who has won the Bronze medal at 6th Senior ART Gymnastics Asian Championships - Dipa Karmakar
On 3rd August 2015, bronze medal at the 6th Senior ART Gymnastics Asian Championships at Hiroshima, Japan was won by Ace Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar.
She stood at third place with 14.725 points. She has also won the bronze in 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Chinese Yan Wang with 14.988 points stood at the first place followed with 14.812 points by Japanese Sae Miyakawa.
How many UN members has reached agreement on sustainable development agenda - 193 UN members
On 2nd August 2015, a new Sustainable Development Agenda for the next 15 years was reached by the 193 member states of the United Nations. It seeks to improving living standards, taking urgent action to combat climate change, suppress poverty and hunger and achieving gender equality.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that the plan seeks to ensure peace and prosperity, and forge partnerships with people and planet at the core.
"Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" will also be adopted with this agreement, at a UN summit before the annual meeting of world leaders at the General Assembly in September 2015.
8 Millennium Development Goals adopted by world leaders 15 years ago will be followed by the 17 new, non-binding goals.
New “secret” planetary system discovered with - 3 super-Earths
On 30th July 2015, a new secret planetary system which has 3 super-Earths and one outer giant planet was discovered by Astronomers.
This secret planetary has the constellation named Cassiopeia, located at a distance of just 21 light years from Earth and was named as HD219134.
The density of transiting super Earth planet is similar to the Earth whereas the other three inner planets are mostly rocky.
HARPS-N spectrograph, a high-precision radial-velocity instrument specially designed by an international consortium discovered this new secret planetary system.
Historic peace accord was signed by Union Government with - NSCN (I-M)
On 3rd August 2015, a peace agreement was signed with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland Isak-Muivah (NSCN (I-M)) by Union Government, which has put an end to almost two decades long pending peace talks.
The accord was signed in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, government's interlocutor for Naga peace talks RN Ravi and the NSCN (IM) leader Th. Muivah at the Prime Minister's official residence.
NSCN (IM) chairman Isak Chishi Swu and general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah signed on behalf of the Naga organisation and RN Ravi inked the document on behalf of the Union government.

Operating in Northeast India, Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) is a Naga outfit. Thuingaleng Muivah and Isak Chishi Swu were the leaders of this group.
Telescope with Five-hundred-meter Aperture being constructed in - China
On 23rd July 2015, The World's Largest Radio Telescope, with a dish size equal to 30 football fields is being constructed in Guizhou province of south west China named as Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST).
It is an Aricibo-type telescope. National Astronomical observatories (NAOC) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is managing the telescope and funded by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
The ground dispenses support for the gigantic telescope and the natural landscape provides perfect size and shape for the construction of telescope whereas the porous soil forms an underground drainage system to protect the telescope.
Who is selected for Bharat Bharti literary award 2014 - Hindi litterateur Kashinath Singh
On 3rd August 2015, Hindi litterateur Kashinath Singh was shortlisted for the Uttar Pradesh's highest literary award Bharat Bharti. UP Hindi Sansthan with cash prize of 5 lakh rupees present the award every year.
His most famous novel is Kashi ka Assi. Besides this he had written many novels and short stories.

Over 1000 kids were traced by Gurgaon Police under - Operation Muskaan
In August 2015, an initiative launched by railway police named as Operation Muskaan traced missing and destitute children and reconvened them with their gaurdians. During the month-long operation, a total of 1094 children were traced in Haryana by Gurgaon Police.
Among the 1094 children traced during the operation, 831 children were tracked from multiple places whereas 263 were living in various shelter homes. Chidren reunited with their parents were 809 in number while others were taken care in shelter homes.
The objective of this operation was to intercept child trafficking and rescue children from persons who tried to engage them in various antisocial activities.
Acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court - Iqbal Ahmed Ansari
On 3rd August 2015, Acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court is Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari who is a senior-most Judge of Patna High Court.
President Pranab Mukherjee under article 223 of the Constitution of India appointed Iqbal Ahmed Ansari.
