    B.S.Gnanadesikan quits as TNCC chief, floats new party

    On 30th November 2014, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) president B.S. Gnanadesikan resigned from the post followed by differences with the party.

    B.S. Gnanadesikan is a MP from Tamil Nadu in the Rajya Sabha. 

    Noted Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar passed away

    On 3rd November 2014, Noted Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar passed away in Mumbai following lung infection at the age of 64. His actual name was Ganesh Kumar Narwode, then in 1974 he adopted stage name Sadashiv Amrapurkar. He got his first onscreen break in the Marathi film where he played the role of Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

    His last film was Bombay Talkies, which was a short film by Dibakar Banerjee.

    More than 60 people killed after bomb blast at Wagah border in Pakistan side

    On 2nd November 2014, There was a sad incident of bomb blast at Wagah border in Pakistani side which claimed more than 60 lives. More than 200 people was also injured who were hospitalized in the hospitals near by.

    This incident was occured minutes after the flag-lowering ceremony at the main Indo-Pak land border crossing, on the request of Pakistan there will be no beating retreat ceremony at Wagah border for 3 days from 3 November 2014, in lieu of the horrific blast.

    Hockey India President Narinder Batra included in FIH Executive Board

    Among the important sports current affairs on 2nd November 2014, Indian Hockey President Narinder Batra included in FIH (International Hockey Federation) Executive Board. He was included during the 2014 Ordinary Congress of FIH in an event held in Marrakesh, Morocco.
