Supreme Court Observations
The designation of the Central Bureau of Investigation director increases significance in the backdrop of
comments made by the Supreme Court which explained that it was ‘antagonistic’ to the arrangement of
an interim Central Bureau of Investigation Director & the Centre should ‘instantly’ employ a regular chief of the probe agency.
The Supreme Court further informed that the position of Central Bureau of Investigation Director is
sensitive & significant, &it is not good to keep an interim director of the agency for a lengthier time period. The Supreme Court sought to know why the government has not completed the selection yet.
