Former IB chief Ajit Doval appointed as new National Security Adviser
On 30th May 2014, Former Intelligence Bureau Chief Ajit Doval was appointed as the National Security Adviser. According to the official order, this appointment of 69-year-old Doval will be co-terminus with the term of the Prime Minister or till further orders, whichever is earlier. During his tenure, he will provide deep insight about the threats faced by the country from within and from outside.
Mr. Ajit Doval is a 1968 batch IPS Officer of Kerala Cadre. He was awarded with President Medal in 1974, thus he became the first and only police officer to get the medal within six years of his service. He led the team of Intelligence Bureau officials with National Security Guards and Punjab Police in Operation Black Thunder, after this he became first police officer to be awarded Kirti Chakra, highest peacetime gallantry award for his role in Operation Black Thunder.
In 1991 he planned the rescue of Romanian diplomat Liviu Radu who was abducted by Khalistan Liberation Front in 1991. He served as Intelligence Bureau Chief in 2004-05.

President and Member of the Board of Infosys BG Srinivas resigned
On 28th May 2014, the President and member of the board of Infosys Mr. BG Srinivas resigned. The resignation will be effective from 10th June 2014. Mr. Srinivas has served Infosys for 15 years and was appointed as the company President in January 2014 along with UB Pravin Rao.
This resignation came at a time, when the company is on the search for the first-time non-founder CEO for the company.
