Charge as new MAIT President has been taken by- Debjani Ghosh
On 21st July 2015, the charge as new president of MAIT (the Manufacturers’ Association for Information Technology), the apex body of India’s Information technology hardware industry is taken by Debjani Ghosh.
Since the establishment of MAIT 32 years ago, Debjani is the first female President of MAIT. She will replace Amar Babu, chairman of Lenovo India and the chief operation officer at Lenovo for Asia Pacific. On the other hand she is vice-president of sales and marketing group and managing director of Intel Corporation, South Asia.
In 2013, Fortune India, she was among the 25 Most Powerful Women. She is also the chairperson of the IT Committee at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has partnered with Kalyani Group to - make Spike Missile
On 30th July 2015, India’s Kalyani Group and Israel’s Rafael have partnered to produce Spike Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) in India.
Both the organization have formed a manufacturing Joint Venture (JV) in this consideration and it is also expected to strengthen the strategic cooperation beween both the nations.
51% ownership stake in the venture will be held by the Kalyani Group as per the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) guidelines.
Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) in October 2014 cleared the FDI proposal in this concern under the chairmanship of Arun Jaitley, Defence Minister. The deal includes order of 300 plus launchers and 8,000 Spike ATGM missiles with a total worth of 3,200 crore rupees.

Spike Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM): It is a 3rd generation, fire-and-forget, man-portable, anti-tank missile designed and developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
In case of emergency, India will require 40,000 missiles to equip the Indian Army’s 382 infantry battalions and 44 mechanised regiments.
Vasundhara Komkali passed away, she was a noted - Vocalist
On 29th July 2015, Eminent musician Vasundhara Komkali passed away at the age of 85.

Who was appointed as new coach of Indian Men's national hockey team - Roelant Oltmans
On 25th July 2015, Roelant Oltmans was appointed as new coach of Men national hockey team. This appointment was made by Hockey India. Roelant Oltmans belongs to Netherlands.
He will be replacing Paul van Ass who was recently sacked by Hockey India.
Certificate of Registration of Sahara Mutual Fund was cancelled by - SEBI
Among Important Banking Current Affairs, On 28th July 2015, SEBI cancelled the Certificate of Registration of Sahara Mutual Fund. After 60 days from the date of order its licence would stand cancelled.
As per SEBI that company is not fit and proper entity to carry out the business of mutual fund.
The regulator also asked the fund house to transfer activities of Sahara India Financial Corporation Limited (Sahara Sponsor) and Sahara Asset Management Company Private Limited (Sahara AMC) to a new sponsor and a SEBI approved asset Management Company at the earliest.

Name of three countries/territories for which e-Tourist Visa scheme was extended - China, Hong Kong and Macau
On 30th July 2015, Indian Union Government extended its e-Tourist Visa scheme to China, Hong Kong and Macau. This decision will take effect from 30th July 2015.
After this inclusion total number of countries/territories covered under the e-Tourist Visa became 77.

As per UN World Population Prospects report, India will be most populous nation by - 2022
On 29th July 2015, United Nations released a report named World Population Prospects: The 2015 Revision. As per this report India will replace China as most populous nation in the world by 2022. It is important to mention that in 2013 it was expected that India will surpass china by 2028 in terms of population.
India population is forecasted to grow to 1.5 billion in 2030 and 1.7 billion in 2015.
Where was Cyclone Komen formed - Over Bay of Bengal
On 30th July 2015, After a depression over the Northern Bay of Bengal it turned into a cyclonic storm named Komen.
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heavy to very heavy rains with isolated extremely heavy rains in Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha of India. The cyclone is expected to attain the wind speed reaching 65-75 kmph gusting to 85 kmph.
The cyclone after making landfall in Bangladesh will move west-north-westwards and weaken gradually.
Who was executed in relation of 1993 Mumbai blasts - Yakub Memon
On 30th July 2015, Yakub Memon was executed at Nagpur Central Jail. He was given death penality with relation to 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.
Earlier his mercy petition was rejected President Pranab Mukherjee and Maharashtra Governor. Yakub Memon was accused for planning the Mumbai blasts including arranging finances that led to death of 257 people and many more were injured.
