Who has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer of Twitter Inc - Leslie Berland

Among the important appointments, On 26th January 2016, Leslie Berland was appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Twitter Inc. Berland has replaced Twitter’s CFO Anthony Noto.

Earlier to this, she was working as an executive vice-president of global advertising, marketing and digital partnerships at American Express (AmEx).

Who is the chief coach of Sri Lanka  - Graham Xavier Ford

Among the important Sports Current Affairs, On 29th January 2016, South African Graham Xavier Ford was named as the chief coach of the Sri Lankan cricket team. Currently, he is the head coach of the Surrey County Cricket Club.

• Before turning his career to become a cricket coach, he played first class cricket.
• He worked as as coach of Dolphins Cricket team, director of cricket at Kent County Cricket Club and as head coach of Surrey County Cricket Club and also a qualified rugby union referee.

Where did the Prince Mahidol Award 2015 - Bangkok

Among the important International Current Affairs, On 29th January 2016, Prince Mahidol Award 2015 was conferred upon Sir Michael Marmot and Professor Morton Mower for outstanding achievements in medicine and public health worldwide.

Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on behalf of the King of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej presented the award at the Grand Palace in Bangkok.

For the invention of the Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator, a citizen of the USA, received the award in the category of medicine. 

Which country has revealed first stealth fighter aircraft X-2 - Japan

Among the important International Current Affairs, On 28th January 2016, country’s first stealth fighter aircraft X-2 was reveled by Japan. This will multiply the defence capabilities of the country that is surrounded by Russia and China who already have radar-evading aircraft technology.

In February 2016, X-2 is expected to undergo its first test-flight.

Features of X-2

• Similar to the F-22 of the USA, it has two engines, 15 feet tall, 46 feet long and 30 feet wide.
• It was built at a total cost of 340 million US dollars.
• It include a special coating on the canopy that covers the pilot, as well as a carbon-fiber composite material that absorbs radar waves.
• Country’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd built it under the code name Mitsubishi Advanced Technology Demonstrator-X.
