In which state Rapid Rural Police Response System was launched - Punjab

On 1st July 2016, Punjab state of India got its Rapid Rural Police Response System. This system was launched with an aim to provide quick police response in over 12000 villages in Punjab.
Police will report within 20 minutes in case of any crime reported and two lines were set up for same purpose.
A special control room of Police equipped with required softwares had also been set up.

B C Roy National Awards were presented by - President Pranab Mukherjee

About Dr. B. C. Roy Award
In 1976 Medical Council of India instituted B.C. Roy Awards in honour and memory of renowned physician and former West Bengal Chief Minister Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy was second CM of West Bengal. He was born on 1st July 1882 in Patna and died on 1st July 1962.
On 1st July Doctor's Day observed in India in his honour

Name of Fast Attack Craft launched by Indian navy - INS Tarasa

On 30th June 2016, Indian Navy launched Follow-on Water Jet Fast Attack Craft (FO-WJFAC) named as INS Tarasa. It is fourth in series which was launced at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd, Kolkata.
These Follow-on Water Jet Fast Attack Crafts are powered by latest MTU engines and these can attain speed upto 35 knots.
