UN wildlife summit CMS COP13 to be hosted by - India

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) announced that India will host the next CMS Conference of the Parties 13 (CMS COP13) on 28th October 2017 in the year 2020.

During the 12th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties 12 (COP12) to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) in Manila this announcement was made as stated by the Philippines.

CMS COP12 was held from 23rd – 28th October 2017 and was attended by more than 500 delegates from over 120 countries. The theme of this Conference was ‘Their Future is Our Future - Sustainable Development for Wildlife and People.
