India signed MoU with US to enhance cooperation in which area - Health Sector
On 25th June 2015, India and the United States signed a series of agreements on health sector. These MoU's were signed with an aim to enhance cooperation in areas such as cancer research, infrastructure development, training, capacity building and better assessment and application of new diagnostic technologies.
Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) signed by India and US are :
- MoU on cancer research, control, prevention and management,
- MoU on collaboration in Environmental, occupational Health and Injury Prevention and Control,
- Letter of Intent (LoI) on Anti-microbial Resistance Research.
Who has been appointed as new CEO of Lafarge India - Ujjwal Batria
On 25th June 2015, Ujjwal Batria was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lafarge's India operations. Lafarge is a French cement maker. Ujjwal Batria succeeded Martin Kriegner who has been promoted as Area Manager-Central Europe of Lafarge Holcim, an entity to be formed by the proposed merger of the world's top two cement firms.
Patrick Macnee passed away, he is best known as star of television series - The Avengers
On 25th June 2015, star of the legendary Avengers TV series Patrick Macnee passed away. He was 93 years old. He passed away at his home in Rancho Mirage in California. He also served Royal Navy by working on torpedo boats in the English Channel and the North Sea during World War 2.
He was born in London on 6th Feb 1922 and was grew up in Lambourn.

He defeated Viswanathan Anand by leaving him behind into a quick draw, as Veselin Topalov secured 6 and a half points while Viswanathan Anand was albe to secure second place with the help of 6 points.

For which location Union Government approved a proposal for setting up second airport - Jewar in NCR
On 25th June 2015, Union Ministry of Civil Aviation appoved proposal about setting second international airport at Jewar in the National Capital Region. Now this proposal will be sent to Union Cabinet for approval.
This is proposed to be built in Greater Noida, So civil aviation ministry will offer the contract for building and running the proposed Jewar airport in Greater Noida to the GMR Group. Why GMR Group ? Because under RoFR norms, GMR Group has the Right of First Refusal (RoFR) for any airport that is built within a 150-km radius of the existing airport in Delhi. GMR bid will be accepted only if it is equal to or less than 10 percent of the bid offered by the lowest bidder.
Mayawati-led Government in Uttar Pradesh has proposed this airport and UPA govt had formed a GoM (Group of Ministers) to decide on it.
