Who was appointed as CFO and Deputy Managing Director of SBI - Anshula Kant
Among the Important Banking Current Affairs, On 25th June 2015, Anshula Kant was appointed as new Deputy Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of State Bank of India. Before her P K Gupta was serving at this post and he has been promoted as Chief Executive Officer of SBI Capital now.
In 1983 Anshula Kant joined SBI as a Probationary Officer and currently she was heading Bombay Circle of SBI as the Chief General Manager.
Which player became 47th player to join 100 partners club on ATP Circuit - Leander Paes
Among Important Sports Current Affairs, On 24th June 2015, Noted Indian Tennis player Leander Paes became 47th player in the world to play with 100 different partners on ATP Circuit.
His 100th partner was Marcel Granollers of Spain and they played against Treat Huey and Scott Lipsky at the Aegon Open in Nottingham, the UK.
In total Leander Paes has won eight men double Grand slam titles, out of which three titles he has won with Indian partner Mahesh Bhuapthi.
Famous Ambubachi Mela was held in - Assam
On 26th June 2015, Famous Ambubachi Mela at Kamakhaya Devi temple at Guwahati, Assam concluded. After this doors of Shakti shrine at Nilachal hillock were re-opened for devotees.
This is an annual festival which is celebrated during the monsoon season.
Famous Hemis festival is a festival of - Ladakh
On 26th June 2015, Hemis festival dedicated to the Guru Padmasambhava began in largest monastery of Ladakh Hemis Gompa (monastery) of Jammu and Kashmir. This is a two day long festival.
This is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava and festival takes an auspicious turn every 12 years in the Tibetan Year of the Monkey, when the two-storey high Thanka depicting Padmasambhava is displayed.
Financial Stability Report June 2015 was released by - RBI
On 25th June 2015, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released the Financial Stability Report (FSR) June 2015. It was the eleventh issue of its half yearly publication which reflected the collective assessment of the Sub-Committee of the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC) on risks to financial stability, as also the resilience of the financial system.
This report also discussed issues about development and regulation of the financial sector.
APMDC signed MoU with which company for iron ore mining projects - NSL Mining Resources India Pvt Ltd
Among the National Current Affairs, On 24th June 2015, APMDC (Andhra Pradesh Mining Development Corporation) signed a MoU with Australian firm NSL Mining Resources India Pvt Ltd for beneficiation of low-grade iron ore in Kurnool and Kadapa districts.
This MoU was signed during a meeting of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and a delegation from Australia led by Steven Ciobo, Parliamentary Secretary to the Australian Trade and Investment Minister.
Which category of banks were allowed to borrow from International Financial Institutions - AD Category-I Banks
Among Important Financial Current Affairs, On 25th June 2015, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) decided to allow Authorised Dealer Category I (AD Category-I) Banks to borrow foreign currency from International/Multinational Financial Institutions (IFIs/MFIs) as per a notification issued by RBI.
Before this notification AD Cat-I Banks were only allowed to borrow from IFIs/MFIs for a short period in 2013 with prior permission from the RBI on a case-by-case basis.
Now any such prior approvals from the RBI will not be needed.
About AD Category-I Banks :
AD Category–I Banks ( Authorised Dealer Category -I Banks ) is one of the three types of Authorised Money Changers (AMCs) approved by the RBI under Section 10 of the Foreign Exchange Management (FEMA) Act, 1999. Apart from this other two Authorised Money Changers (AMCs) are Authorised Dealers Category - II (ADs Category–II) and Full Fledged Money Changers (FFMCs).
Which three states were asked by Union Government to introduce milk in mid day meal scheme - Bihar, TN and Rajasthan
On 25th June 2015, Union Government asked three states Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan to encourage supply of free milk in the Mid Day Meal to school children with an aim to increase nutritional level in the Mid Day Meal for school children. It was decided after a review meeting in which it was found that the State Milk Federations of these states have surplus stock of skimmed milk powder.
Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh has written about this to these three states.

International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking :
This day was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 7 December 1987 with an aim to create a society free of illegal drugs and drug abuse.

Among the Important Banking Current Affairs, On 25th 2015, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) extended the date of to exchange pre-2005 bank notes by six months. New extended date is 31st December 2015.

The currency notes which were issued before 2005 do not have the year of printing on the reverse side, whereas, notes issued post 2005 have the year of printing at the bottom of the reverse side, in this way you can easily identify the pre-2005 currency notes.
