India successfully test-fired nuclear capable ballistic missile – ‘Agni-5’
Among Important National Current Affairs, India has successfully test-fired its home-grown long range intercontinental surface-to-surface nuclear capable ballistic missile Agni-5.
However, the state-of-the-art surface-to-surface missile was test fired successfully from the launch complex 4 of the Integrated Test Range from the Abdul Kalam Wheeler Island off Odisha coast.
Also it was the fourth developmental and second canisterised trial of the missile.
Anupam Kher’s 500th film’s world premiere at - Sundance Film Festival
Among Important Entertainment Current Affairs, bollywood actor Anupam Kher’s 500th film “The Big Sick” will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
The film “My 500th film ‘The Big Sick’ selected for world premiere at Sundance Film Festival.

Scientists develops first Biological Pacemaker using - Human Stem Cells
Among Important International Current Affairs, Scientists from Canada have developed the first functional pacemaker cells by using human pluripotent stem cells.
However, the cells can regulate heart beats with electrical impulses.
Here, it paves the way for alternate biological pacemaker therapy.
Government to launch which yojana for consumers - Lucky Grahak Yojana
Among Important National Current Affairs, on 25th December 2016 the government launched a Lucky Grahak Yojana for Consumers and Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana for merchants in New Delhi.
However, the main agenda of this scheme is to encourage people to move significantly towards higher usage of digital transactions through an offer of incentives.
Also the government wants to promote digital payment methods to encourage consumers and merchants to increasingly shift to these payment modes.
Here, the scheme is being launched with the first draw by Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Russian military plane crashes into - Black Sea
Among Important International Current Affairs, on 25th December 2016 Russian military plane crashed in the Black Sea as it made its way to Syria with 92 people onboard, including musicians heading to celebrate the New Year with troops.
According to Russian Defence Ministry, there had been no survivors after the Tu-154 plane crashed shortly after taking off from the southern city of Adler, south of the Black Sea resort city of Sochi, at 5.40 am local time (0240 GMT).
