Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Make In India Campaign
On 25th September 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Make In India Campaign at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. This was launched with a focus to make India a manufacturing hub.
It is aimed to attract foreign companies to set up their manufacturing units and make greater investments in India. Many Industry leaders were present at this ceremony.
25th September declared as Antyodya diwas by Union Government
25th September is declared as Antyodya Diwas by Union Government. Important to mention that 25th September is birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay has contributed a lot to country as he was philosopher, historian and political activist.
214 coal blocks allocated since 1993 cancelled by SC
On 24th September 2014, Supreme Court of India cancelled allocation of 214 out of 218 coal blocks. These all allocations were done since 1993.
The bench which taken this decision for Country welfare was headed by Chief Justice of India RM Lodha and comprised Justice Madan B Lokur and Justice Kurian Joseph.
News Broadcasting Association got new president as Rajat Sharma
On 24th September 2014, India TV chairman and editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma was appointed as new president of the News Broadcasting Association (NBA). He was selected for this position for the year 2014-2015.
He will be succeeding KVL Narayan Rao who was the president of NBA for four consecutive years. Ashok Venkatramani will continue to be the vice president of NBA and Anurradha Prasad is selected as new honorary treasurer of NBA.
SBI, ICICI said yes to kids to operate bank accounts independently
On 24th September 2014, SBI (State Bank of India) and ICICI (Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India) allowed kids to operate bank accounts independently.
The bank account is available for all kids above 10 who can sign uniformly.
Suresh Parbhu is Sherpa of Narendra Modi for G-20 summit
On 23rd September 2014, Suresh Prabhu was appointed as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Sherpa for the Group of 20 annual Summit 2014. He was selected himself by Prime Minister.

Cricketers Sachin Tendulkar & Steve Waugh to be inducted as Bradman Honourees
Cricketers Sachin Tendulkar (India) and Steve Waugh (Australia) were selected as Bradman Honouree 2014 which was announced by The Bradman Foundation on 22nd September 2014.
In Sydney, they will be honoured at the Gala Dinner of the Bradman Foundation on 29 October 2014.
Union Cabinet approved agreement on grid connectivity with Nepal
On 24th September 2014, India-Nepal Agreement on Electric Power Trade, Cross-Border Transmission Interconnection and Grid Connectivity was approved by Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This approval will facilitate cross-border electricity transmission grid connectivity and power trade between the two countries.
