Who has won 8th Men's Junior Asia hockey cup - India Juniors
Among the importnat Sports Current Affairs, On 22nd November 2015, the 8th Men’s Junior Asia hockey cup was won by India’s junior men’s hockey team by defeating Pakistan.
The top scorer in the final match was Harmanpreet Singh.
Awardees for the Series :
- Japan won the Fair Play Award
- Harmanpreet Singh of India with 14 goals was awarded with the Tournament’s top scorer.
- Vikas Dahiya of India was the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
- Shahril Saabah (Malaysian striker) was the Best Player of the Tournament
- Harjeet Singh of India won the Man of the Match
Who has won the ATP World Tour Finals - Djokovic
Among the importnat Sports Current Affairs, On 22nd November 2015, Novak Djokovic won the ATP World Tour finals for 4th consecutive time. He defeated third seed Roger Federer in the final match.
This year he won 11 titles, including three Grand Slams.
Apart from this, Dutch-Romanian team of Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau won in the Doubles by defeating Indo-Romanian team of Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea.
Who has been appointed as Executive Director to Asian Development Bank by Obama - Swati Dandekar
Among the importnat appointments, On 20th November 2015, US President Barack Obama appointed Indian-American politician Swati Dandekar with ambassadorial rank as executive director to the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
She will replace Robert M Orr. Dandekar will hold the title of ambassador and serve as one of 12 international directors.
About Swati Dandekar
- In 2003, she is the first Indian to be elected to Iowa House of Representatives.
- She is also the first Indian American citizen to win a state legislature seat in US.
- From 2009 to 2011, she was also member of the Iowa Senate.

Who is appointed CEO of Dish TV - Arun Kumar Kapoor
Among the importnat appointments, On 20th November 2015, Arun Kumar Kapoor is appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Direct-to-home (DTH) service provider Dish TV.
He has replaced RC Venkateish. He was also nominated as a Key Managerial Personnel of the company.
Earlier, he was the CEO of Raj Television handling subscription revenues of Turner and Zee channels.
Where did the Mahatma Gandhi International Centre inaugurated - Matale
Among the importnat International Current Affairs, On 22nd November 2015, The Mahatma Gandhi International Centre (MGIC) was inaugurated in Matale by the President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena in presence of Indian High Commissioner YK Sinha.
The center is dedicated to the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi to humanity and his principles and philosophy to mankind.
Main highlights of the MGIC
- It comprise of an a conference hall, library, meditation centre and auditorium.
- Indian government's Development Cooperation Partnership with Sri Lanka funded the project.
- The consultant for the project was the Urban Development Authority of Sri Lankan government.
- The purpose of the centre is to reinforce the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.
NTPC named official partner for - HWL Final
Among the importnat National Current Affairs, In Third week of November 2015, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) was named as the official partner for the Hockey World League (HWL) final.
Apart from this, Hockey India also partnered with National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL). HWL is the world's biggest international hockey event.
The participating countries in the 2015 HWL includes : India, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Australia, Germany, Canada, Belgium and Argentina.
