Who took over as Guardian's Editor-in-Chief - Katherine Viner
Katharine Viner has been appointed the editor-in-chief of the Guardian thus she became first ever woman to run the newspaper in its 194-year history.
As the time of appointment Katharine Viner was serving deputy editor of the Guardian and editor-in-chief of Guardian US. She will be replacing Alan Rusbridger.
Who won Stockholm Water Prize - Rajendra Singh
Environmental activist Rajendra Singh has been conferred the prestigious Stockholm Water Prize this year for his innovative water restoration efforts and courage to empower communities in Indian villages and he will be presented with this award on 26th August 2015 by Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf.
This award also carries $150,000 and a specially designed sculpture.
Bharti Airtel partners with whom for cloud services - Amazon
Major Telecom, Bharti Airtel inked a partnership with Amazon Web Services with an aim to offer its cloud computing services to customers in India. Amazon Web Services is a big name if we talk about website hosting, data storage and other software required to run or manage businesses.
Cloud computing services offer software and other facility on pay as per use basis without customers requiring to buy entire product.
India overtakes which country as 3rd biggest steel producer - US
India has replaced US to become the third-largest steel producer in the world. India produced 14.56 million tonnes (MT) in first two months of the year. For the last five years India was holding the fourth place.
If we talk about the first and second place in steel production then it is being hold by China and Japan respectively.
