Former Maldivian president Mohamed Nasheed arrested under anti-terrorism law
Among the International Current Affairs, On 22nd Feb 2015, Former president and Current Opposition leader Mohamed Nasheed was arrested by Maldives police under anti terrorism laws.
Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar Chief Minister
On 22nd February 2015, Former Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar again took oath as New CM of the state. His oath of office and secracy was administered by governor Keshari Nath Tripathi at the Raj Bhawan.
Nitish Kumar was invited to form a new government after the resignation of Jitan Ram Manji. Earlier Nitish Kumar had quit the CM Chair on 17th May 2014 after bad performance of party in general elections.
RBI lifted ban on import of gold coins and medallions by banks and trading houses
Among the important Financial Current Affairs, RBI lifted ban on import of gold coins and medallions by banks and trading houses and also stated that banks are permitted to import gold on consignment basis. Earlier restrictions were imposed by RBI on banks and companies on importing gold.
