    On 22nd April 2014 International Mother Earth Day observed across the globe

    On 22nd April 2014, International Mother Earth Day was observed accross the globe. International Mother Earth Day or Earth Day is celebrated in more than 192 countries. 

    In 2014 global theme for Earth day was Green Cities because in the present world, the world’s population migrates to cities and this action of human has raised concern to create sustainable communities than ever before.

    Thailand Tour 2014 women's title of ABF clinched by Kritsanakorn Sangaroon

    Kritsanakorn Sangaroon of Thailand won the 2014 Thailand Tour women's title of Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) on 19th April 2014. In Men's Final, Shaik Abdul Hameed of India won the 2014 Thailand Tour title of Asian Bowling Federation. He defeated Mahamood Al Attar of UAE 242-183 in the final.

    Boston Marathon 2014 won by Meb Keflezighi

    38 years old US male athlete Meb Keflezighi won Boston Marathon on 21st April 2014. Women winner of the marathon was Rita Jeptoo of Kenya and it was her second consecutive win at the Boston Marathon.

    Boston Marathon is an annual event and is held on Patriots Day [ Third Monday of April ]. Boston Marathon was first celebrated in 1897. It is world's oldest annual marathon and is ranked as one of the world's best-known road racing events.

    MIT Scientists designed the Tsunami-proof floating Nuclear plant

    Scientists of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) designed the world's first floating nuclear plants - platforms modelled on those used for offshore oil drilling - that would be automatically cooled by surrounding seawater in case of a major tsunami.

    Jacopo Buongiorno, Michael Golay and Neil Todreas of MIT presented the concept of the design at an American Society of Mechanical Engineers symposium. 

    A floating platform several miles offshore, moored in about 100 metres of water, would be unaffected by the motions of a tsunami as earthquakes would have no direct impact at all. 

    Hero MotoCorp Partners Nitol Niloy of Bangladesh

    India's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today announced a joint venture with Bangladesh's Nitol Niloy group and plans to set up a new manufacturing facility.  This manufacturing facility will have an annual capacity of 1.5 lakh units which is expected to be fully functional by second quarter of 2015-16.

    In this way Hero MotoCorp will be entering the market of Bangladesh through a joint venture of 55:45  with Nitol Niloy. 

    Hero MotoCorp will invest 40 million US dollar in the country in next five years.

    Donna Vekic won BMW Malaysian Tennis Open 2014

     BMW Malaysian Open 2014 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was clinched by Donna Vekic on 20th April 2014. Prize money of BMW Malaysian Open 2014 was 43000 Dollars. It started on 14 April 2014. Donna Vekic defeated Dominika Cibulkova in the final. 

    It was first maiden Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles title of Donna Vekic.
