Where was world's largest Single Rooftop Solar Power Plant inaugurated - Amritsar
Among Important National Current Affairs, Largest single rooftop solar power plant was inaugurated in Amritsar.
It has total capacity of 11.5 Mega Watt and was inaugurated at Dera Baba Jaimal Singh at Beas, in Amritsar, Punjab.
It has been installed over 82 acres of rooftop of a single campus with multiple roofs and total costing of this plant is 139 crore rupees.Which IT Major opened a development office in Hyderabad - Apple
Among Business Current Affairs, On 19th May 2016, A new Development Office was opened by Apple in Hyderabad, Telangana.
This office will majorly focus on Maps for Apple products, including iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. This will accelerate Maps development and is expected to create up to 4000 jobs.India's first Driverless Metro train test was conducted by - DMRC
Among Important National Current Affairs, On 18th May 2016, Trail of India's first ever driverless metro was done by DMRC ( Delhi Metro Rail Corporation ) which was flagged by Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Delhi Metro has planned to use 86 such trains which will be controlled by Operations Control Centres (OCC) of the Delhi Metro. By using these trains metro frequency will also be increased from 2 minutes to 90 seconds.
