International Day for the preservation of Ozone Layer 2017 observed on - 16th September 2017

International Day for the preservation of Ozone Layer 2017 observed on 16th September 2017 across the globe. This day is celebrated with the theme "Caring for all life under the sun". The day celebrates the date of the signing of the Montreal protocol on substances depleting the ozone layer.

This year has marked the 30th anniversary of the Montreal Protocol. As a part of the celebrations of the anniversary , a communication campaign launched by ozone secretary secretarait with the name #OzoneHeroes ahead of World Ozone Day.
