World Blood Donors Day 2018 observed globally on - 14th June 2018

PM Narendra Modi devoted nation’s 10th Smart City Integrated Command and Control Centre at Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh. In the Smart City Mission, Integrated Command and Control Centre in 9 cities are effective in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Pune, Nagpur, Rajkot, Visakhapatnam, Bhopal and Kakinada.
Key Points- The Integrated Command and Control Centre at Naya Raipur will monitor and control water and electricity supply, sanitation, traffic, integrated building management, city connectivity and information centre, under single roof.

Three 100 MW solar power projects initiated by - NLCIL
Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited’s 3 100-megawatt Solar Power Projects for commercial motives were initiated freshly. These projects located at Thoppalaakkarai and Sethupuram in Virudhunagar District and Sellaiya Sezhiyanallur in Tamil Nadu.
Key Points- The 3 solar units have fitted capacity of 100 megawatts each. They were constructed at value of Rupees 1300 crores, that includes Operation and Maintenance cost for fifteen Years.
- The electricity generated from these plants will be sold to Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Company at price of Rupees 4.41 per unit.
Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited - Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited is Central Government’s Navratna revenue generating unit.

- Presently, it functions 4 open-cast lignite mines of total capacity worth 30.6 MTs yearly and five thermal power stations with total fitted capacity of 3240 megawatts.
20 States sign MoU for implementing Ayushman Bharat – National Health Protection Mission
20 States have inked MoU with Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for executing Ayushman Bharat-National Health Protection Mission. The Memorandum of Understandings were inked during Health Ministers’ meeting organised in New Delhi. During the meeting, aspects of National Health Protection Mission, including operational strategies, model tender papers for selection of insurance firms and execution support agencies for trusts were deliberated.
More abput Ayushman Bharat-National Health Protection Mission- Ayushman Bharat- National Health Protection Mission focuses to goal more than 10 crore poor and susceptible families based on Socio Economic and Caste Census 2011 record.
- It will cover Rupees five lakh per family every year. There will be no limitation of family size and age in the plan.
- The plan assimilates 2 continuous Centrally subsidized plans including Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana and Senior Citizen Health Insurance Scheme.
- Benefit cover under this consists of pre and post-hospitalisation charges. It will also pay well-defined transport allowance for every hospitalization to the recipient.

106th Science Congress to be hosted by Lovely Professional University (LPU) in - Jalandhar
The 106 th Indian Science Congress will be organised at Lovely Professional University- Jalandhar, Punjab from January 3rd -7th , 2019. It will be initiated by PM Narendra Modi. The subject for the 5 days science congress is ‘Future India: Science and Technology’. It will be held by premier scientific organisation of India, the Indian Science Congress Association.
Key Points- The science congress will include 18 plenary gatherings, including medical, environmental, chemical and various other science fields.
- There will also be 4 parallel jumbo events, consisting female’s science conference, children’s science conference and science demonstration.
- About 15,000 delegates, especially from United States, Australia, Germany and Switzerland and 300 topmost scientists and Nobel Laureates worldwide are going to attend and participate in the congress.
