Capital markets regulator Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on 15th July 2014, restrained former Satyam Computer Services founder-chairman B Ramalinga Raju and four others from participating in the market for 14 years for their role in the Satyam scam.
An order from SEBI said Mr Raju and the others had been barred from accessing the securities market and further prohibited from buying, selling or otherwise dealing in securities, directly or indirectly, or being associated with the securities market in any manner, whatsoever, for a period of 14 years.
