    Union Commerce Ministry launched - SEZ India app

    Among Important National Current Affairs, The Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has launched a mobile application, which is named as “SEZ India” under its broader e-Governance initiative to help the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Units and Developers too. 

    However, it will also help the SEZ Units and Developers to find information easily and track their transactions on Online System. 

    Here, it will also facilitate them to file all their transactions digitally through SEZ Online system and track the status on the go through the SEZ India mobile app.

    SpaceX launches Cluster of Iridium Satellites from – California

    Among Important International Current Affairs, on 14th January 2017 SpaceX which is the American rocket company has launched a Falcon 9 vehicle into space with about 10 satellites of Iridium. 

    However, all these 10 satellites were placed in the low-orbit.

    Do You Know – 

    • Falcon 9 vehicle was launched from the Vandenberg Air Force Base on the California coast.

    • Whereas, Iridium is a global leader in mobile voice and data satellite communications.

    First ever which festival is concluded in Hyderabad - Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Dance

    Among important national current affairs, on 15th January 2017 the first ever Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Dance festival finally concluded. 

    However, the festival was inaugurated by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu at the Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad.

    Here, it was aimed at introducing the unique diversities of the Asia Pacific region and sharing the joys that varied communities across this region feel while they dance. 

    Which country hands over two ships to Pakistan Navy for Gwadar Port security – China

    Among Important International Current Affairs, China has finally handed over two ships to the Pakistan to safeguard the strategic Gwadar port and trade routes under the ambitious China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). 

    However, these ships have been named as Hingol and Basol, after two rivers near Gwadar. 

    Also, they will be part of Pakistan Navy and are equipped with state-of-the-art guns. 

    Main aim to be used is to protect the sea-lanes in the Arabian Sea. Besides, China will also provide two more ships to Pakistan Navy which have been named Zhob and Dasht after two districts in Balochistan.
