PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi to Strategic and Policy Forum has been appointed by - Donald Trump
Among Important International Current Affairs, on 14th December 2016 the US President-elect Donald Trump appointed PepsiCo Chairman Indra Nooyi to the President’s Strategic and Policy Forum that will consult with him on implementing his economic agenda.
According to Trump, ‘America has the most innovative and vibrant companies in the world and the pioneering CEOs joining this Forum today are at the top of their fields.
He continued, “My administration is going to work together with the private sector to improve the business climate and make it attractive for firms to create new jobs across the United States from Silicon Valley to the heartland.”
However, the forum is headed by Stephen Schwarzman, the CEO of the investment company Blackstone and includes Jack Welch, the former CEO of General Electric, and CEOs Elon Musk of SpaceX and Tesla, Uber’s Travis Kalanick; Jamie Dimon of Chase and Mary Barra of General Motors.

Among Important National Current Affairs, According to Forbes Magazine Prime Minister Narendra Modi was placed at 9th position among 74 of the world’s most powerful people list.
However, this list gives the annual ranking of the World’s Most Powerful People on the basis of their financial resources, scope and use of power and the number of people they impact.
Which country successfully test-fires enhanced version of Babur cruise missile – Pakistan
Among Important International Current Affairs, Pakistan Army has successfully test fired an enhanced version of an indigenously-designed Babur cruise missile.
However, this missile incorporates advanced aerodynamics and avionics that can strike targets both at land and sea with high accuracy.
Union Cabinet approves MoU between - Rural Development Ministry & FAO
Among Important National Current Affairs, The Union Cabinet has finally approved MoU between Ministry of Rural Development and Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), with an aim to improve effectiveness of rural development programmes in country.
However, the Inter-Governmental MoU on Joint Technical and South-South Cooperation will provide for collaboration on activities of common interest to support an integrated approach to rural poverty reduction through activities.
Here, these activities will aim to promote economic empowerment of rural women, access of rural poor to natural resources.
