National Hindi Divas observed across India on - 14th September
On 14th September 2016, National Hindi Divas was observed across India to promote Hindi and its importance. PHD Chamber of Delhi also organized special function for same.
President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee presented Rajbhasa awards at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan as these awards were instituted by the Rajbhasha Vibhag of Ministry of Home Affairs.

Among Important Sports Current Affairs, On 13th September 2016, Devendra Jhajharia became first Indian to won two gold medals at the Paralympics. He broke his own record in Javelin throw. His first gold medal was in 2004 Athens Games.
Devendra Jhajharia is being supported by GoSports Foundation through the Para Champions Programme and is competing in F46 events.Name of Indian American scientist who won 2016 Lemelson-MIT Prize of US$500000 - Ramesh Raskar
Among Important Prize winners on 13th September 2016, Indian American Ramesh Raskar won 2016 Lemelson-MIT Prize as he is co-inventor of radical imaging solutions including femtophotography.
Ramesh Raskar is Associate Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he has done his engineering education from College of Engineering, Pune. Important to mention here that he holds more than 50 patents.

Sushmita Rai of Sikkim won bronze medal at World Martial Arts Masterships 2016. It was held at Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do of South Korea.
Sushmita Rai represents India in Kick boxingj and hails from village of Bhasmey of Majhitar, Sikkim.India inked agreementes to enhance bilateral cooperation - Afghanistan
Among Important National Current Affairs, On 14th September 2016, India and Afghanistan inked Extradition Treaty with an aim to facilitate exchange of wanted terrorists and criminals.
Agreements on civil and commercial matters were also inked including peaceful uses of outer space.
It is important to mention here that President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani is on his two day visit to India from 14th september to 15 september 2016.
India also extended billion dollar aid to Afghanistan.
